Knock Knock by Michelle Teahan

Knock Knock is Michelle Teahan’s second novel which follows Sarah, a suburban housewife who has it all; big house, wealthy husband, doting son. Her best friend Maisie lives across the street in their elite four house estate, and their new neighbours Marcus and Gina are getting lots of attention since they moved in. Marcus is handsome, Maisie is besotted, and Sarah isn’t unaware of his longing glances in her direction.
I really enjoyed this book! At the start, I found it difficult to follow whose chapter I was reading but as I got further into the book it made a lot more sense as to why this was. I really enjoyed watching the story unfold and, like Lynda Marron, I too found myself highly amused by the antics that took place. This book could absolutely be read in one sitting, whenever I had time to sit down and read it I really loved how I got lost in the story. I loved trying to figure out what was going on, who was who, what people’s intentions were etc.
It was my first book by Michelle Teahan and I’m looking forward to reading Go Seek in the future. This book was so much fun to read. I loved how nobody was who they seemed, and the twists were good - I was genuinely smiling at the end of this when things were wrapped up because I hadn’t been expecting what came to be! There were so many things that I never saw coming and I was very impressed with Michelle’s ability to throw me completely off the scent. A great book, a great summer read, and I’m sure there are more great things to come from Michelle!
