๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ : Dominoes by Phoebe McIntosh. I saw on @nursefancypants story two days ago that she thought this was an underrated book on Booksta. I said I’d give it a go and it has not disappointed me! I have not been able to put this down. I’ll be finished this before lunch today once I get a half hour to read!
๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ : A Mother’s Heart in prep for our bookclub meeting with Carmel Harrington this Thursday. I’ve been intentionally taking my time with this one because I don’t want to finish it too early before the meeting.
๐บ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ : I’ve given up on Inventing Anna and we’ve started Presumed Innocent instead and it’s really good. I’ve also started watching Manifest on Netflix and I only saw the other day that it’s 3 seasons long!!! I don’t think I can commit to that, the series is already a bit bizarre! Let me know if you’ve watched it!
๐ฉท ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ : The sunny weather and getting to spend more time outside. Having read two books in a row that have been particularly good!
๐ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐จ : There is so much happening this week and I’m really excited for it! We’ve got bookclub, and a really lovely bookish weekend planned, including a boat tour to Ballycotton Lighthouse which was the inspiration behind Carmel’s latest book The Lighthouse Secret.
๐๐ผ ๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ซ : bringing the toddler to the cinema for the first time yesterday. It was my first trip since before Covid. We went to see Inside Out 2 and it was so lovely to see him brimming with excitement at the “giant TV” - sometimes seeing things through the eyes of a kid helps you stay in the moment. I’ve been finding the world a difficult place to understand lately and that little excursion yesterday was literally filled with wonder for him and made me so happy to see.
