Chapter Three - Interview with author Catherine Walsh

Chapter Three - Interview with author Catherine Walsh

When we were brainstorming who we could invite to be our first author interview, we had a short list of criteria: We wanted an Irish author, someone who had a book recently released,  and someone who we could have a bit of craic with and this lady came straight to mind. Catherine Walsh is the new queen of contemporary Romance in Ireland (and elsewhere if the reviews are anything to go by!) and one of the funnest accounts to follow on Bookstagram. Fun aside, Catherine raises some really excellent points about the lack of visibility and respect for Romance as a genre and we suspect you might think a bit differently about it after you’ve heard her speak…Both the author and her books have been an absolute joy to get to know and we hope you love the episode as much as we do.Catherine's RecommendationsA book to get into reading or get back into reading after a slump            Do a re-read of an old favouriteWho are your go-to authors?                                                                           Jane Harper, Leigh Bardugo and Stacey HallsEnd of episode book recommendationsRebecca "One Night Only" and "The Rebound" by Catherine Walsh + NEW BOOK The Matchmaker "It Happened One Summer" / "Hook Line and Sinker" by Tessa Bailey "Book Lovers" by Emily Henry "The Unhoneymooners" / "The Soulmate Equation" by Christina Lauren "The Ex Talk" by Rachel Lynn Solomen "Girl Meets Duke" Series by Tessa Dare "If I Never Met You" by Mhairi McFarlane The "Bergman Brother" Series by Chloe LieseThanks to Helen Becerra for the artwork and Mark Neville for the mixing.Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/all-good-folks/make-it-workLicense code: PLGGIGEZMJI9NR3G
